SendTools is wbsite where users can upload files to share with their friends via social networks. This is an amazing simple website with capability of upload files with 10 Mb. Sendtools is going to increase the file size up to 2GB with in a week. Future plan is to expand this service with the ability to compose Newsletters and import all of your contacts from your favourite email clients and social networks, this will allow people with huge contact lists over several email accounts to simply connect their contacts to SendTools and send personalised Newsletters / emails or files from it.

Php code to fetch Twitter feeds

Following php code will help you to fetch twitter feeds from your account. No authentication is needed for this. Perhaps it can be used to display twitter feeds in forums, webpages etc. CURL should be activated for working of the code.  Please find the php code below.

Gmail Contact Grabber Php Class

Most of the social media websites have the facility to fetch the contacts in our address book. This is probably being used to find friends network. This is a simple php class based on Google’s client login API to fetch contact details someone’s gmail Id. Curl must be enabled in your server for the proper working of this library. You should also need to register your application to Google for authentication which is very simple and includes only two steps.

The wordpress plugin for related posts crashes database server. I think its new cache feature is not much optimised. The following query takes too much time to execute.

It has been a long time since I posted something in my blog. It was a sudden transition period in my life . I dont remeber how the days are gone – life is faster than expected.  I still remeber the day ( 31st January 2009 )  when I left from India. As everyone I was a bit little thrilled but at the same moment I had a feeling of missing  something. Anyways the days here was amazing and lots of changes happened in my life, most importantly I got married   . Today I decided to restart my blogging , hopefully a new beginning. Kappil Beach Varkkala

Kappil is a small town situated near Varkala around 54 Kilometres from Thiruvananthapuram city. Kappil beach is a wonderful place where we could feel the real beauty of lake and sea together. The vibrant colours of refracted sun rays embellish the sea shore during sunsets. Since it is not established as a tourist place yet, it is very calm and quiet.

Forums are powerful platforms for user generated contents and there by increases the traffic to  websites. So many bloggers have started their own forums. We have several tools available to integrate forums with wordpress blogs. But sometimes it is very hard to tweak the forum templates with respect to the blogs. I feel Wp-united is a powerful tool which integrates phpBB3 and WordPress 2.3.x. The configurations are simple and easy to follow.

All installation steps are explained in the install.xml file in the wp- united package. Initially you have to upload the wp-united files to corresponding location as specified. After that you have to tweak some phpBB forum files. I provide you phpbb3 files that has been tweaked  for wp-united integration, hence you can directly upload them to the specified location. It will make you one step easier . Then logon to forum control panel after running wpu-install.php in the root folder of the wp-united package(Upload it to the root folder and call the url to this file) and there will be a wp-united tab which will lead you to the configuration process.
