My first Post

Written on January 15, 2008 – 4:13 pm | by Sarath D R |

Hello people – at last I announce my arrival on the blogging community (a la “I came, I saw.. I con… :) ”). It’s been a long term desire to start a blogging but not being a good writer daunted me till the idea of taking first steps with a photo blog struck me.

I registered this domain two months back after buying a Nikon D 40 along with Kenney – which was also when I figured out that photography isn’t as easy as it looks - which is what you naturally figure out when you jump from Kodak Eastman’s “point and shoot” to a top of the line Japanese D SLR (ok so I’m a bit proud of the new possession :) ). Some of the shots taken with the Nikon (with auto settings :) ) will up in the succeeding posts.

So why DID I decide to start blogging? Well the D 40 did act like a catalyst in making me realize I need to improve my skills behind the lens and I really need to work on improving blogging skills.

I hope I can eventually achieve both of these :) . What do you get out subscribing to my feeds and visiting the blog? Well you can expect some top of the class stuff on digital photography, Design, technology and web 2.0 concepts out here… you like??

Any Suggestions? (other than to stop blogging :) ) Critiques and insights are welcomed at the comments link.

if u have a d40 one normally expects a flickr album to be born… great to hear u’ve started a blog instead, each pic has its own story, who else can tell that in the best way other than the creator
